Jillian Braun

Jillian Braun began their professional career as a Sales Associate at Justice Just For Girls in 2006, before transitioning to various internship roles in the fields of agriculture, health education, and income development. Jillian then worked as a Communications and Public Relations Intern at the John G. Shedd Aquarium in 2011. After studying abroad in Prague, Czech Republic, they joined Public Communications Inc. as an Account Executive in 2012. There, they managed media and society events for clients and generated coverage through press materials. In 2014, they moved to the Lincoln Park Zoo as a Public Relations Coordinator, eventually progressing to Public Relations Manager and Director of Public Relations & Communications. In these roles, they oversaw communications strategies, media relations, and video communications for the zoo.

Jillian Braun completed their Bachelor's degree in Public Relations at Eastern Illinois University from 2008 to 2011. Jillian also studied Art and History at Charles University in 2011. Additionally, they obtained various certifications including CliftonStrengths, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace, DiSC, CPR/AED/First Aid, and Kulture City.
