Ryan Escamilla has had a diverse range of roles in the field of education. Ryan started their career in 2005 as an Educator at Lincoln Public Schools, where they worked for 10 years until 2015. During this time, they gained experience and transitioned into the role of Instructional Coordinator. In 2008, they also took on a position as a Master Teacher at Nebraska Wesleyan University, where they worked until 2013. Ryan returned to Lincoln Public Schools in 2017 as an Associate Principal and was promoted to Principal in July 2021.

Ryan Escamilla earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1998 to 2005. Ryan obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Educational Administration and Supervision from Concordia University, Nebraska from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) in Historical Studies from Nebraska Wesleyan University between 2006 and 2008.
