Lincoln's ChalleNGe Academy

The Lincoln’s ChalleNGe Academy is a 17-month life skills program that offers education and discipline in a structured environment for Illinois youth between ages 16 to 18 with no felonies. The program provides the opportunity to change their future and get their life back on track. LCA is more than just an adult education program. Cadre and Support Staff work together to provide a structured quasi-military environment with a holistic approach to help Cadets become responsible and productive members in their communities following the residential program. The academy conducts two classes a year, during this time the it operates 24/7. LCA offers employees many unique career opportunities. Its structure provides an environment to develop and hone leadership skills through training, mentoring and developing the youth of Illinois in the Eight Core Objective areas of life coping skills, academic excellence, physical academic, health and hygiene, job skills, leadership and followership, service to community and physical fitness.
