An engaging and strategic professional, Lauren Haines serves in a dual role at Lindauer, working with our current clients and candidates as a search consultant as well as with the firm’s senior leadership to engage with prospective clients. She brings over 10 years of nonprofit experience across every part of the nonprofit sector, whether academic medicine and healthcare, higher education and K–12, arts and culture, or advocacy and mission-based organizations.
Lauren joined Lindauer after several years at Grenzebach Glier and Associates (GG+A), one of the world’s premier nonprofit philanthropic consultancies. As a member of the firm’s senior leadership team, she worked closely with consultants to understand client needs, aggregate and coalesce information and data, and prepare complex reports and recommendations for management, leaders, and Boards. She partnered on teams for a wide range of clients including the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, Art Institute of Chicago, Fuller Theological Seminary, J. Paul Getty Museum, Philadelphia Museum of Art, American Association for the Advancement of Science, American University, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Antarctic Science Foundation, Barack Obama Foundation, Charlotte Country Day School, Friends’ Central School, Lyric Opera of Chicago, National Audubon Society, The Pew Charitable Trusts, Rodale Institute, and USC Keck School of Medicine.
In her role as Assistant Vice President and Director of Business Development at GG+A, Lauren led the firm’s proposal team and partnered with consultants to build and expand connections with clients and prospective clients. Prior to leading business development, Lauren served as Chief of Staff for the President of GG+A.
Preceding her tenure at GG+A, Lauren served as the Development Manager for Chicago’s Grant Park Music Festival where she managed the annual fund, donor stewardship, and special events. Early in her career, Lauren also developed funding proposals for community partnerships and corporate, foundation, and government sponsorships for Florida State University’s Opening Nights and the National Repertory Orchestra.
An active musician, Lauren has sung with the Chicago Chamber Choir, held the position of Choir Director at Grace Lutheran Church in Tallahassee, and served as the Children’s Choir Director at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicago. She is currently on the Board of the Ashtabula Arts Center in Ohio.
Lauren holds a Master of Arts degree in arts administration from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from Mercyhurst University.
