Lena Kyle

Metaverse Senior Engineering Manager at Linden Lab

Lena Kyle began their career in 2002 as a Backend Development Engineer at Tencent, where they were responsible for the development and maintenance of the company's website, implementation of the website, testing, and maintenance and upgrading of the existing website. In 2010, they joined Linden Lab as a Software Engineer. In 2014, they became a Metaverse Senior Engineering Manager at Linden Lab, and then a Senior Engineering Manager and Engineering Manager. In their role as Engineering Manager, they helped launch Tilia, Inc as a business and maintained communication with internal stakeholders to clear the runway for their team to make great software. Lena also served as Team Lead, Extraction, where they worked with their team to develop golang REST apis that solved the needs of Second Life and Sansar, and created a stakeholders meeting to help keep various internal stakeholders apprised of progress and priorities.

Lena Kyle attended Xiamen University from 1998 to 2002, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering and Science. Lena then attended Columbia University from 2006 to 2008 and obtained a Master of International Business in Infrastructure Finance, with a Major in Mathematics and Computational Finance.
