As the firm's Managing Partner Alasdair has been actively involved in the growth of the firm, and strengthening and developing the key sector teams.
After training with Lindsays, Alasdair worked for several years in a large London law firm following which he returned to Lindsays to assist in developing the firm's commercial practice.
Alasdair has advised on company law and general corporate and commercial matters and provided legal opinions on the Scottish aspects of cross-border transactions to London and US instructing agents.
Since becoming Managing Partner in 2011 Alasdair has led the firm's Management Board to ensure delivery of the firm's strategic growth plans. These plans have resulted in a number of successful mergers - Shield & Kyd (2012), MacLachlan & MacKenzie (2012), RSB Macdonald (2015), a significant PI and litigation team (2017) and Aitken Nairn WS (2018).
