Denise Mateiro Fernandes has over 30 years of experience in the pension and benefits industry. Denise began their career in 1988 as an Office Clerk/Cashier at The Hospital for Sick Children. In 1995, they joined HOOPP where they held positions as a Pension Analyst, Team Lead, and Pension Service Manager. In 2002, they joined OMERS as a Policy Analyst. From 2011 to 2016, they held the role of Benefits Service Manager at Aon. In 2016, they joined TD as Manager, Canadian Savings Plans. Most recently, in 2019, they joined Linea Solutions, Inc. as a Senior Management Consultant and Management Consultant, where they provide strategic advice and deep subject matter expertise with their software and business process implementations.
Denise Mateiro Fernandes received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English from York University. In 2003, they attended University of Toronto for Organizational Leadership. In 1997, they obtained a Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC) from Humber College. In 2019, they obtained a Change Management certification from Prosci.
