Gary Owen

Gary Owen has a diverse work experience in multiple industries. Gary started their career in 1989 at Dimension-polyant, where they worked as a Global Superyacht Facilitator and Material Development specialist. In this role, they were responsible for direct contact with high-net-worth individuals and collaborated with marine suppliers on special projects. Gary also played a key role in developing multiple layer hybrid laminates and managing sales forecasts and budgeting.

In 2012, Gary Owen joined Environmental Marine Solutions as a Director, working on a remote solar system called RemSol in collaboration with Dr. Alf Smith. The system can be installed on land and sea without any additional components. At Environmental Marine Solutions, Gary focused on assessing companies' impact on the sea and surroundings.

From 2019 to 2020, Gary Owen worked as a Consultant at Cyclops Marine, leveraging their expertise in the marine industry.

Currently, Gary holds the position of CEO at Lineat Composites, a company that brings a disruptive fibre composite material technology to the high-tech manufacturing industry. In this role, they are responsible for solving key problems related to cost, productivity, and sustainability. Lineat Composites aligns chopped fibres to create a superior aligned tape product that can compete with continuous fibre performance, while being easy to form and allowing low-cost use and re-use of carbon fibre.

Gary Owen has a diploma in Environmental Survey from the College of East Kent. Gary also studied Mechanical Engineering at Bristol Polytechnic. Prior to that, they attended Helsby Grammar School.
