Jacob C.

Jacob C. has a diverse work experience starting with their current position as a Software Engineer at LineVision, where they primarily work with Python, Typescript, and SQL workflows. Jacob collaborates with multi-discipline squads to support the business' operational calibration team and manage scientific models.

Before joining LineVision, Jacob worked at Genscape, Inc. as a Senior Engineer from January 2020 to September 2021. Prior to that, they were a Research Scientist in R&D from July 2018 to January 2020, and an Analyst in Oil Transportation from October 2017 to July 2018.

Jacob also gained experience as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Northern Illinois University from August 2016 to July 2017, and at the University of Louisville from August 2014 to July 2016.

Additionally, Jacob completed three co-op rotations totaling around 12 months at Duke Energy Corporation's Gallagher Station as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op from January 2010 to August 2012.

Jacob C. began their education journey in 2008 at the University of Louisville, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics. Jacob completed this degree program in 2014. Following their undergraduate studies, Jacob attended the University of Louisville again from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Elementary Particle Physics. Subsequently, Jacob enrolled at Northern Illinois University in 2016 and continued their academic pursuits by working towards a PhD in Elementary Particle Physics. Jacob completed this coursework in 2017.
