Amnon Harel

CTO at Lingacom

Amnon Harel has a long and varied work experience, beginning with a role as a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces in 1989. In 1994, they worked as a Technical Manager for P.S. Publishing, followed by a role as a Software Tester at Microsoft in 1995. In 1997, they were a Teaching Assistant at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. From 1999 to 2004, they were a Physicist (visitor) at CERN, and from 2004 to 2006 they were a Robert Marshak Fellow at the University of Rochester, conducting high energy experimental physics and analysis, as well as training students. In 2004, they were also a Visitor at Fermilab, researching in D0 and convening the Jet ID and Top Pair groups. From 2006 to 2010, they were a Researcher at the University of Rochester, and from 2014 to present, they have been a CTO and Computing & Algorithms Physicist at Lingacom Ltd, developing algorithms, conducting detector development, and performing feasibility studies.

Amnon Harel received a B.Sc. in Mathematics from Tel Aviv University in 1992. Amnon then attended the AHI from 1989 to 1990, though no degree was obtained. Amnon returned to Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, where they earned a B.Sc. in Mathematics-Physics in 1997, followed by an M.Sc. in Physics in 2000, and a Ph.D. in High Energy Physics in 2004.
