Ernest Kuśmierz

Ernest Kuśmierz has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and data science. Ernest is currently working as an AI Lead Cloud Engineer at Lingaro since December 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an MLOps/Cloud Engineer at PKO Bank Polski from February 2021 to December 2021, where they were involved in designing, building, and implementing Cloud Native solutions, as well as modernizing and migrating on-premise solutions to the public cloud. In addition, they implemented a modern data processing environment in the cloud using technologies such as Docker, Google Cloud Platform, MLFlow, Jenkins, Terraform, and Kubernetes.

Before joining PKO Bank Polski, Ernest worked at Deutsche Telekom from June 2019 to February 2021 as a Data Scientist/AI Developer. Ernest was involved in projects related to AI as a Service on SAP Cloud Platform and Digital Service Assistant. Prior to that, they worked as a Junior Software Developer at Deutsche Telekom from April 2017 to May 2019, where they worked on projects related to developing an integrated enterprise resource planning system and leveraging blockchain technology for tracking and validating International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) numbers.

Ernest started their career as an IT Consultant at Bank Millennium in June 2016, where they were responsible for monitoring new technologies applicable in electronic, online, and mobile banking. Ernest analyzed the potential use of these technologies and implemented them through project management and coordination of tests.

Overall, Ernest Kuśmierz has gained experience in areas such as cloud engineering, machine learning operations (MLOps), data science, AI development, software development, and IT consulting throughout their career.

Ernest Kuśmierz earned their education in the field of Telekomunikacja from Warsaw University of Technology. Ernest obtained a Bachelor's degree in Inżynier (Inż.) from 2013 to 2017, followed by a Master's degree as Magister inżynier (Mgr inż.) from 2013 to 2019. Later, they pursued further studies and obtained another Master's degree as Magister (Mgr) from 2017 to 2019.

In addition to their formal education, Ernest Kuśmierz has also obtained various certifications. These include "Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals" and "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" from Microsoft, "Big Data Integration and Processing," "Big Data Modeling and Management Systems," and "Introduction to Big Data" from Coursera. Ernest has also completed certifications such as "AWS Technical Essentials Day" from Amazon Web Services (AWS), "IBM What is Data Science" from Coursera, "Python for Data Science and AI" from Coursera, "Certified SAFe 4 Practitioner" from Scaled Agile, Inc., "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera, and "The 5 Day Machine Learning Challenge - MATRIX #5DWMATRIX" from DataWorkshop. Additionally, Ernest has completed courses such as "Evolved Web Apps with SAPUI5" from openSAP and "ABAP Foundations" from HICRON Sp. z o.o. Ernest also holds an English B2 Certificate from Politechnika Warszawska, and has participated in the "Microsoft Data Science Summer Camp" organized by Microsoft.
