Raquel S. has a diverse work experience that spans over several industries and roles. In 1991, they co-founded and managed the first Ecological Laundry in Latin America as an entrepreneur at Professional Clean. Raquel implemented marketing strategies, controlled logistics, and provided customer service. From 1996 to 1997, they worked as a freelance translator and interpreter at World Trade Center Mexico, specializing in legal, medical, finance, and IT industries. At Club Las Velas Cancun from 1997 to 2001, they served as the CEO's Executive Assistant, assisting with content creation, presentations, and document editing. From 2001 to 2004, they worked as an ESL Teacher and Counsellor for kids and teenagers at Colegio del Caribe & Colegio Real del Caribe. At CENTRO ESCOLAR BALAM from 2004 to 2011, they taught English as a Second Language (ESL) to young teenagers preparing for Cambridge exams. From 2004 to 2017, they were a High School & Business English Teacher and Counsellor at Centro Universitario Anglo Mexicano CUAM, where they prepared students for Cambridge certifications and led projects to enhance their skills and community involvement. Starting from 2009 to 2017, they worked as a University ESP Teacher at Universidad Tecnologica de Cancun, Universidad del Caribe, and Universidad La Salle, where they adapted and enhanced the curriculum to meet students' needs in various fields. From 2014 to 2017, they were an ESP and English Teacher Trainer at Universidad La Salle México. Since 2013, they have also been working as a Cambridge Speaking Examiner and Invigilator at the University of Cambridge. Their most recent position is at Lingo Live, where they became a Language & Communication Coach in March 2018. In this role, they support individuals in becoming inspirational leaders and effectively achieving their goals through customized coaching solutions.
Raquel S. began their education in 2010 at the University of Cambridge, where they pursued a Bachelor of English Teaching under the COTE Agreement 238: SEP program. This program lasted from 2010 to 2011. After completing their bachelor's degree, Raquel S. furthered their studies at the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (UNINI México), where they earned a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics to ELT. This degree was obtained between 2015 and 2017. More recently, in 2023 and 2024, Raquel S. attended Axon Training in Argentina to focus on Ontological Coaching, ultimately aiming to establish a career in coaching.
