Lead Game Engineer at Lingokids

Javier Arevalo has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Javier is currently the Lead Game Engineer at Lingokids since November 2018. Prior to that, they worked as the Academic Director of Videogames at U-tad from January 2015 to October 2018.

From 2010 to 2017, Javier was the Technical Director at Pyro Studios, where they were responsible for multiple server architecture designs, technical supervision of game programming teams, liaising with external organizations, and overseeing the deployment of several games on social networks. Javier also developed four free-to-play mobile games and worked on various internal technology and backend projects.

Before Pyro Studios, Javier worked as the Technical Director at Radical Entertainment from March 2007 to February 2010.

Between 1998 and 2007, Javier held the role of Technical Manager at Pyro Studios, where they directed the technology and tools for Commandos 2: Men of Courage and served as the project director for Praetorians. Javier also led the next-gen technology efforts and worked on a cancelled project.

In their earlier career, Javier was a Lead Programmer at High Voltage Software from August 1997 to September 1998. Javier also worked as a Programmer at Sistemas de Imagen y Palabra (SIP) from August 1995 to August 1996, and at Banco Mapfre from March 1991 to August 1994.

From 1988 to 1994, Javier Arevalo attended the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Javier completed a 5-year degree program in Computer Science during that time.
