Fiston Mwesige

Fiston Mwesige is the Founder and Executive Director of Umoja Generation, a nonprofit organization focused on facilitating the integration and self-sufficiency of refugees in Utah since January 2017. Mwesige has also served as an Interpreter for Linguistica International since July 2015, providing interpretation and translation services across various sectors. In addition, Mwesige has worked as a Family Consultant at ENSIGN PEAK SERVICES INC since February 2016, monitoring and supporting foster care youth and training potential foster parents. Previous experience includes a role as a Customer Service Representative Loan Agent at USAA from May 2018 to July 2019, and as an Americorps Vista at the Refugee Services office from February 2015 to February 2016. Mwesige holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Utah and an Associate's degree in the same field from Salt Lake Community College.
