Lawrence Vincent McManus

1995 to present – Portfolio Manager, President & Chief Executive Officer, and founder of Gryphon International Investment Corp. Lawrence has extensive experience managing global equities. Prior to co-founding Gryphon International, Lawrence held a number of senior positions with investment management firms based in Canada.

His career began with Royal Trust in Montréal where, as Senior Investment Officer, he managed the portfolios of estates, trusts and high-net-worth individuals. Lawrence then moved to Calvin Bullock, where he became portfolio manager of Canada’s oldest mutual fund while supervising other managers, analysts and traders.

Thereafter, Lawrence spent six years in senior positions with the CN Investment Division, with a focus on North American equities while also supervising the division’s foreign portfolios, and also held a position with Natcan Investment Management as a Partner and Vice President, managing the firm’s U.S. and EAFE equities. Lawrence holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Cum Laude) from Concordia University and his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
