Scott Olster

Scott Olster is an accomplished journalist with significant experience in leadership roles at prominent media organizations. Currently serving as Senior Managing Editor at LinkedIn News since January 2017, Scott leads a team focused on developing editorial products through generative AI. Previous roles at LinkedIn include Editor At Large and Senior Editor, where responsibilities involved managing editorial teams and enhancing AI-driven article generation. Prior to LinkedIn, Scott worked at Fortune Magazine for over six years, fulfilling various editorial roles, including Senior Editor and Leadership and Politics Editor. Scott also held positions at the New York City Economic Development Corporation and The New York Times Syndicate. An alumnus of Columbia University, Scott earned a Master’s degree in Journalism and dual Bachelor’s degrees in History and Philosophy, graduating magna cum laude.
