Shantanu Gupta

Shantanu Gupta is an engineering leader at LinkedIn, currently building core distributed system primitives for the company's Data Infrastructure. Previously, they held key roles at Ghost as Director of Engineering, leading machine learning systems, and at Pure Storage as a Senior Engineering Manager, where they managed large teams and focused on high-performance distributed storage systems. Shantanu's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, supported by a robust publication record and several patents. Their diverse experience also includes research internships at NEC Laboratories America and Intel Corporation, along with a foundation in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.
