Head Of Cybersecurity Research at LINKS Foundation

Andrea Vesco has a diverse work experience in the field of research and engineering. Andrea is currently serving as the Head of Cybersecurity Research at LINKS Foundation. Before this, they worked as a Senior Researcher at ISMB from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Researcher at ISMB from 2009 to 2012, where their focus was on Quality-of-Service (QoS) over packet switched networks and wireless access networks. Andrea also collaborated with the System-Level Design Group at the Columbia University of the City of New York for research activities on QoS over Network-on-Chip (NoC). Before entering the research field, they worked as an R&D Engineer at HR Europe srl from 2003 to 2006. Andrea completed their Ph.D. and served as a Post-Doc Researcher at Politecnico di Torino from 2006 to 2009.

Andrea Vesco's education history begins in 1997 when they enrolled at Politecnico di Torino to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering. They successfully completed the program in 2003.

Afterwards, Andrea continued their academic journey at the same institution and commenced a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Computer and System Engineering in 2006. They devoted their studies to this field until 2009, completing their doctoral degree.

Additionally, Andrea obtained an Advanced Scuba Diver certification from NAUI in June 2011.
