Lisa Powell has extensive experience in human resources. Lisa began their career as a Personnel Officer at the City of Pella in 1998 and worked there until 2000. In 2000, they transitioned to Dean Snyder Construction where they served as an HR Manager until 2006. Lisa then joined Linn County as an HR Director, a position they currently hold.
Lisa Powell attended Grandview Park Baptist School from 1977 to 1981, where they obtained their high school diploma. Lisa then went on to Iowa State University and studied there from 1981 to 1995. Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, majoring in English with a minor in Marketing.
