Dennis Dang

Software Engineer at Linqia

Dennis Dang has been working in the software engineering and security engineering fields since 2016. In 2016, they worked as a software intern at Pentair Thermal Management, where they developed a technique to achieve long range and low cost temperature sensing using One Wire Protocol. Dennis also refactored existing library C++ source code to achieve temperature sensing up to 300m away, reducing the cost of deploying temperature sensing equipment by over 54%. In 2017, they worked as a System Control Software Intern at Smiths Detection, where they were part of an Agile team responsible for developing automation software for airport security scanners. Dennis implemented a hardware auto detection procedure in C++, which eliminated the need for human input, leading to fewer mistakes and shorter downtime. In 2018, they worked as a Software Intern at S&C Electric Company, where they worked in an Agile team to create a lab infrastructure management tool to improve quality of life for DevOps team members. Dennis created a RESTful API using Flask and Postman to bridge together the backend with the frontend, and wrote an installation script using Bash to facilitate tool installation. In 2020, they worked at TriNet as a Software Engineer and Security Engineer Intern. In 2021, they began working at Linqia as a Software Engineer.

Dennis Dang attended Los Altos High School from 2008 to 2012. Dennis then went on to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Physics from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2012 to 2016. Finally, they completed a Master of Science in Computer Science from San Jose State University from 2017 to 2020.
