Sam Cannon

Sam Cannon has an extensive work experience spanning various roles in the field of data science and machine learning. Starting with Foundation House, where they served as a Program Facilitator and later as a Data Scientist and Program Manager, Sam facilitated the growth of a mental health services company and implemented data-driven decision-making processes. Sam then joined Legacy Outdoor Adventures as a Therapeutic Guide/Clinical Intern, responsible for planning and guiding therapeutic adventure trips. Sam further expanded their skills at Seattle Pacific University as a Research Scientist.

Moving forward, they joined Humanalysts as a Principal Data Scientist and Machine Learning Engineer, followed by positions at Microsoft, Facebook, and Persefoni as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, and Product Data Scientist, respectively. Most recently, Sam joined LinQuest as a Principal Artificial Intelligence Architect. Their work experience demonstrates a strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analysis.

Sam Cannon earned a Master's degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Seattle Pacific University in 2020. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University in 2016. In addition to their formal education, Sam has obtained several certifications, including a Professional Data Scientist Certification from Microsoft in 2019 and an edX Verified Certificate for Large Language Models: Application through Production in 2023. Sam has also completed various courses in data science, programming, and analytics from institutions such as Udemy and Microsoft.
