Ali Jannati

Ali Jannati, MD, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of cognitive and neural sciences. Starting in 1998, they worked as a Medical Student/Intern at Tehran University of Medical Sciences until 2006. Ali then pursued a Master's Degree and PhD in Cognitive and Neural Sciences at Simon Fraser University from 2007 to 2014. Following that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Neurology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from 2014 to 2018. In 2013, they also served as a Visiting Research Fellow in Neurology at BIDMC, Harvard Medical School. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Boston Children's Hospital as a Sr. Postdoctoral Research Fellow and later as a Senior Staff Scientist and Scientific Consultant. In 2021, they joined Harvard Medical School as a Research Associate in Neurology. Additionally, they worked as an Associate Editor in Cognitive Neuroscience at Frontiers in Human Neuroscience starting in 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Cognitive Science at Linus Health since 2023, where they previously held roles as a Clinical Development Manager and Senior Neuroscientist.

Dr. Ali Jannati obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Cognitive & Neural Sciences from Simon Fraser University, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Cognitive & Neural Sciences from the same university, studying from 2007 to 2009. Ali'smedical education was pursued at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, where they obtained a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from 1998 to 2006. Ali completed their high school education at Tehran's Allameh Helli High school - National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (NODET) from 1994 to 1998. In addition to their academic degrees, Dr. Jannati has obtained several certifications, including "Python for the Life Sciences" from Boston Children's Hospital, "Certificate in Applied Biostatistics" from Harvard Catalyst | The Harvard Clinical and Translational Science Center, "Principles and Practice of Clinical Research" from Harvard Medical School, and an "M.D. General Practitioner License" from the Iran Medical Council (IRIMC).
