Francesco Marini

Francesco Marini is an accomplished entrepreneur with extensive experience in investment and financial services. As the Founder and CEO of Lio Factory since 2022, Francesco leads an investing platform builder across four key verticals: Real Estate, Infrastructure, Special Situations, and Artificial Intelligence. In addition, Francesco founded LIO Capital in 2010, which focuses on technology-enabled real estate investments, and LIO SSG in 2015, a hedge fund dedicated to illiquid assets and corporate restructuring. Recent ventures include Lio Energy and Lio DC, both established in 2023, focusing on renewable energy projects and Italian data center development, respectively. Francesco is also a Co-Owner of XYENCE Capital SGR, a healthcare investment firm. Prior experience includes key roles at Mediobanca, Merrill Lynch, McKinsey & Company, and Lehman Brothers. Francesco holds a cum laude degree in Business Administration from Università Bocconi.
