Jeff Steffens

Tech is business, business is tech. As Chief Information Officer, Jeff ensures the goals and objectives of the organization are represented and enabled seamlessly in the technology. He believes IT is not an island, there is not a wall, it is woven into the fabric of any successful company. Before coming to LIO, Jeff spent most of his career helping large organizations resolve the disconnect between IT and business and learned a few simple lessons after 20+ years. First, technology cannot fix a flawed business strategy. Second, implementing cool technology is not a business strategy. Lastly, do the hard work upfront and avoid technical debt at all costs.

Jeff and his wife Julianna are empty nesters living in Sammamish, Washington after raising two amazing kids, Zack and Alexa. Spare time outside of the start-up life is balanced across great food and wine with friends and then working it off in the gym or hitting the heavy bag.
