Jim Tygh is Actuarial Services is considered by many non-actuaries to be an oxymoron, but at LIO the Services come first. Jim is a solution-oriented actuary, focusing on what can and should be done, not what can’t, aided by the technical education required to become a Fellow of the Casualty Actuary Society. With 30+ years in actuarial roles, including 10+ as the Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer at Philadelphia Insurance Companies and Tokio Marine North America, Jim has the knowledge, skills, experience, and vision to lead LIO’s Enterprise Risk Management, Pricing, and Reserving functions. Jim is a former Olympic distance triathlete, an aspiring woodworker, and a wannabe chef, not to mention an avid football tailgater.
