Asela Alahakoon

Asela Alahakoon has held various roles throughout their work experience. They most recently worked at Lion Brewery (Ceylon) PLC as the Vice President of Enterprise Applications starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Manager of Enterprise Applications at Teejay Lanka PLC from October 2021 to July 2022. Asela also had a long tenure at Virtusa, where they worked as a Consultant/Tech Lead from July 2014 to October 2021. They previously held positions at the Department of Elections, Sri Lanka as an Assistant Director (IT) from July 2012 to June 2014, and as an EDO from July 2005 to June 2012. Earlier in their career, Asela worked as a Lecturer at IT Lanka Institute of Information Technology from March 2004 to June 2005, and as a Computer Operator at OEB (Pvt) Ltd from June 2000 to March 2003.

Asela Alahakoon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from University College Dublin, which was obtained from 2011 to 2013. Additionally, Asela has a Higher Diploma in Computer Based Information Systems from the National Institute of Business Management. As for certifications, Asela has obtained a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2018. Moreover, Asela also has a Diploma in Computer System Design from the National Institute of Business Management, specializing in Computer Programming and System Analysis.
