Before joining ExxonMobil, George had worked at Exxon Chemical as an Exceed Marketing Manager from November 1998 to April 2000, where they led sales and marketing efforts for new product launches and the expansion of product ranges. George also worked as a PE Technical Service Engineer from January 1998 to November 1998.
Prior to that, George was employed at Himont, Inc. as the Manager of PE Application Technology from June 1993 to January 1998. In this role, they led a technical service and development team and presented product information in various countries.
George's early career includes working at The Dow Chemical Company from February 1988 to June 1993. George initially joined as an Engineer and later became a Sr Staff Engineer. During their time at Dow Chemical, they worked in various technical roles supporting customers and gaining experience in different areas of the business.

George Panagopoulos earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 1986. George then went on to complete a Master's degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering from the same institution in 1988. After that, they pursued further education and obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Delaware between 1995 and 1997.
