Sr Research Scientist at Lion Elastomers

Muhammad Younus, PhD has a diverse and extensive background in research and development, as well as teaching. Muhammad is currently working as a Sr Research Scientist at Lion Elastomers. Prior to this, they held the position of Research and Development Chemist at Funxion, where they established a new synthesis laboratory and conducted research for the development of photochromic dyes on a gram scale.

From 2018 to 2021, Muhammad worked as a Research Scientist at The University of Texas at San Antonio, synthesizing and characterizing metal-coordinated chromophores. During this time, they also synthesized chromophores with anchoring COOH groups.

Muhammad served as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2017 to 2018, where they focused on the synthesis of chiral platinum ethynyl polymers for second-order nonlinear optics.

Before their time in the United States, Muhammad worked at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology as an Assistant/Associate Professor and Professor of Chemistry, teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses.

Muhammad has also held research positions at Miami University, University of Bath, and Imperial College London, where they conducted research on various topics including carbon-based nanomaterials, organic and organometallic compounds, and conjugated ferrocenyl ethyl ligands and their complexes and polymers. Overall, Muhammad Younus, PhD has a strong background in synthetic chemistry and has made significant contributions to the field through their research and teaching.

Muhammad Younus, PhD, has an extensive education history in the field of Chemistry. Muhammad completed their Bachelor of Science with Honors (B.Sc. Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Dhaka in 1986. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Physical-Inorganic Chemistry from the same university, which they completed in 1987.

In 1993, Muhammad Younus enrolled at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, where they focused on Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry. Muhammad successfully obtained their Ph.D. degree in this field in 1997.

After completing their doctoral studies, Muhammad Younus engaged in Postdoctoral Research at Imperial College London from 1997 to 2000. Muhammad'sresearch during this period continued to revolve around the areas of Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry.

In addition to their formal education, Muhammad Younus has also obtained various certifications in professional development topics. In May 2020, they completed certifications from LinkedIn in areas such as Being a Good Mentor, Efficient Time Management, Improving Your Focus, Improving Your Listening Skills, Interpersonal Communication, and Leadership: Practical Skills.
