Fikrewold Bitew

Fikrewold (Fikre) Bitew, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Institutional Research Data Scientist at The University of Texas at San Antonio since February 2016. Prior experience includes roles as a Data & Analytics Consultant for UNICEF, focusing on climate risk and social behavior change, as well as positions at Dallas County Community College and Novation as a Senior Institutional Research Analyst and Senior Business/Data Analyst, respectively. Fikrewold has also held significant roles at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and ICF Macro, including Senior Research and Evaluation Coordinator and DHS Research Fellow. Fikrewold holds a Ph.D. in Applied Demography from The University of Texas at San Antonio, a Master's degree in Demography, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Statistics from Addis Ababa University.
