Vanda Jijelava

Vanda Jijelava serves as the Deputy Chief Legal Officer and Deputy Director of the Legal Department at the Bank of Georgia since September 2018, having previously held various legal roles within the organization. Prior to this, Vanda worked as the Chief Legal Advisor at the Office of Public Defender of Georgia from June 2016 to September 2018 and has experience as a trainer in civil and administrative law at the Georgian Bar Association. Additional experience includes positions as a member of the Legal Aid Council and head of case proceedings and human resources at the Office of Public Defender, as well as leadership roles at the National Agency of Public Registry. Vanda's legal career began at NGO Article 42 of the Constitution, where project-specific litigation was undertaken. Vanda holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Ohio Northern University—Claude W. Pettit College of Law and a Master of Laws from Tbilisi State University.
