Paul van Dijk

Vice President Strategy and Innovation at LioniX International

Paul van Dijk has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Paul is currently working as the Vice President of Strategy and Innovation at LioniX International, a position they have held since January 2017. Prior to this, they founded their own consulting firm called Leonardo Consulting in November 2009.

From March 2010 to December 2016, Paul was the Co-Founder, CEO, and Co-Owner of SATRAX, where they were responsible for creating a powerful product enabling broadband satellite communication on high-speed vehicles. In April 2016, SATRAX merged with LioniX International.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Paul worked at ASML from January 1999 to December 2009. Paul held various positions, including Product Marketing Manager, Market Analyst, and Product Manager, with a focus on growing ASML's business in compound semiconductor, optoelectronics, and integrated photonics applications.

Paul also has experience as a Director at Small Tech Supplies, a webshop specializing in high-tech components and systems, from March 2012 to August 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Lecturer at Breda University of Applied Science from November 2009 to April 2010, where they supervised and coached first-year students in the faculty of international tourism and leisure management in the process of marketing/business plan generation.

Before their career in industry and academia, Paul started their professional journey as an R&D Engineer at High Voltage Engineering Europa, B.V. from January 1997 to December 1998.

Paul van Dijk's education history starts with their VWO at Katholieke Scholengemeenschap Etten-Leur (KSE) from 1980 to 1986. Following that, they pursued a degree in Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology, earning their ir. degree from 1986 to 1992. Paul later pursued further education at Cornell University in 1990, studying Physics, Materials Science & Archeology for a brief period. Paul returned to Eindhoven University of Technology from 1992 to 1997 to pursue a Dr. degree in Ion Beam Analysis & Channeling. Finally, Paul enrolled in the TIAS School for Business and Society from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained their MBM degree in Business Marketing.
