Lynette Austin

Lynette Austin currently serves as the Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Lipscomb University since December 2023. Previously, Lynette held the position of Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Abilene Christian University from August 2008 to February 2024. Lynette's extensive experience in bilingual speech-language pathology includes roles such as Consultant for Bridge Bilingual Speech Resources and Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist for both Humble ISD and New Caney Independent School District. Lynette also worked as a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist at RehabWorks and in private practice as a Speech-Language Pathology Consultant. Lynette began professional practice at the West Texas Rehabilitation Center. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy in Bilingualism and Educational Psychology from the University of Houston and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Abilene Christian University.
