Anzu Partners

Director at Liquid Instruments

Anzu Partners is a Director at Liquid Instruments. Prior to that, they were a Senior Hardware Engineer and Researcher at Qualcomm from January 2013 to December 2017. There, they worked on developing energy efficient, embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) technologies, especially STT-MRAM for low-power MCU, IoT devices, and sensors. This included defining bitcell specifications, architectures, process integration, and layout with leading semiconductor foundries; implementing high-throughput techniques for perpendicular magnetic tunnel junction (MTJ) characterization including ferromagnetic resonance, magnetometry, and magneto-transport methods; developing accelerated stress tests and models for MRAM TDDB; and designing film stacks for optimal integration into CMOS BEOL, optimizing PVD & Etch processes for advanced devices. Anzu also evaluated emerging technologies such as magnetic oscillators, industrial & biosensors, cryptographic applications, and AI hardware. Prior to Qualcomm, they were at South 8 Technologies, Aspinity, Inc., Liquid Instruments, Anzu Partners, and Niron Magnetics, Inc.

Anzu Partners has earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from UC San Diego, as well as a B.S. & M.S. in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from the same school.
