Hank Birkdale

Hank Birkdale has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1991 when they served as an officer in the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserve. In 1993 they took on the role of Software Development Manager at Vianet Data Communications, followed by Consultant Developer at Computerworld in 1995. In 1996 they took on the role of VP/CTO (Partner) at Nybor Corporation, and then moved to Fidelity Investments in 1998, where they held several roles, including Director, Strategy and Admin, Global Business Services, Head of Business Services, Fidelity China, and Director, Dalian Global Delivery Center. In 2013 they became Senior Director, Lead - Finance & Insurance PMO at Dealertrack Technologies, and in 2016 they were Senior Director, Business Planning and Analysis at Cox Automotive Inc. (Dealertrack was acquired by Cox in October 2015). In 2020 they were Chief Technology Officer at Vertikal RMS, and currently they are CTO at Liquid Mortgage.

Hank Birkdale has a diverse educational background. Hank holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics/Mathematics from Saint Michael's College and a Master of Science in Operations Research from the U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology. Additionally, they have a Graduate Level degree from the USAF Air War College. Hank has also obtained numerous certifications from Udemy, including The Complete Hands On Introduction to Apache AirFlow (2020), Spring Framework for Beginners with Spring Boot (2020), Introduction to Unit Testing (2019), Postman API Testing (2019), Unit Testing and Test Drive Development in Python (2019), Go: The Complete Developer's Guide (Golang) (2018), and Microservices Software Architecture: Patterns and Techniques (2018).
