Charlotte Schoelinck began their career in 2009, when they completed their Doctorate of Systematic Evolutionary from UPMC - Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris 6). Charlotte then moved to Musée national d'histoire Naturelle de Paris / Université de Moncton, Canada to take on the role of teaching and mentoring. In 2013, they were hired by Fisheries and Oceans Canada as a Postdoctoral Researcher, where they were responsible for Barcoding of invasive species that posed a risk to Canadian wildlife and commerce, as well as Genomics R&D Initiatives. In 2014, they joined Service du Patrimoine Naturel as a Chargée de mission. In 2016, they returned to Service du Patrimoine Naturel in the same role. In 2017, they co-founded LISAqua (Low-Impact & Sustainable Aquaculture) and served as COO/CSO, developing innovative aquaculture processes with no antibiotics and no environmental impact.
Charlotte Schoelinck obtained their Licence in Biologie des Populations et des Ecosystèmes from Nantes Université from 2004 to 2007. Charlotte then went on to pursue their Master 1 in Ecologie - Ethologie from Université des Sciences et Techniques Jean Monnet, Saint-Etienne from 2007 to 2008. Following this, they earned their Master 2 in Evolution, Patrimoine Naturel, et Société from Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, Paris in 2008 to 2009. Finally, they completed their Ph.D. in Evolutionary systematics from Pierre and Marie Curie University from 2009 to 2012.
