Catherine Carpentieri is currently the Chief Development Officer at Literacy in Community (LINC). Prior to this, Catherine held various leadership positions in development and communications at organizations such as FPWA, University Settlement Society of New York, The Door A Center for Alternatives, Broome Street Academy, The Partnership for the Homeless, Human Rights First, Amnesty International USA, and Environmental Defense Fund. Catherine Carpentieri graduated from Hofstra University with a B.A. in English/American Literature.

To change this, Literacy Inc. (LINC) employs an innovative strategy that unlocks the power which already exists within every community. LINC builds partnerships between families, educators and community stakeholders, creating neighborhood networks that surround children with books and fun, skill-building reading opportunities. LINC grows the early habits of reading that are vital to ensuring a child’s future success, in school and beyond.
