Xavier Hankins

Xavier Hankins has a diverse work experience with various roles and responsibilities. Xavier started their career in 2011 as an Event Coordinator at Phenomenal Occasions, where they worked until January 2022. In 2016, they joined Literacy KC as a Development Specialist & Grants Manager, contributing to the organization's growth and development for six years until June 2022. Following this, Xavier worked as a Chief Development Officer at Generating Income For Tomorrow from February to December 2022. In 2020, they ventured into entrepreneurship and became a Business Owner at Brown Sugar Collective. Currently, Xavier is serving as the Chief Development Officer at Literacy KC starting from January 2023.

Xavier Hankins earned a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Kansas, specializing in Sociology, French, and Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Xavier completed their undergraduate studies from 2004 to 2010. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a certificate in Leadership Foundations from LinkedIn in September 2023.
