Christian Ochoa (He/Him)

Board Treasurer at Literacy Volunteers of Laredo

A native of Laredo, Texas is a Junior at Texas A&M International University, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Communications. Throughout his life he has built a rapport among numerous community leaders and officials through his servant leadership projects and continuous volunteer efforts. Christian values the understanding and belief that all great partnerships and relationships begin and are maintained with effective; productive communication.

Christian is passionate about politics and serving those around him to advance their goals and achieve their dreams. He is also former outreach coordinator for the Webb County Treasurer’s Office. On campus, Christian serves as Chair of the Student Government Association Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility committee representing the nearly 8,000 student population.

Christian loves to volunteer with Literacy Volunteers of Laredo serving as a board member, and is the founder of Laredo Collective.

In his spare time, Christian enjoys traveling, karaoke with his family and friends.
