Emily Penn

Emily Penn is a Senior Product Engineer at Lithios since August 2023, with extensive experience in chemical engineering research and development. Prior to this role, Emily served as a Graduate Student Researcher in the Chueh Group at Stanford University from September 2018 to September 2023, following an Engineering Internship focused on electrode development at EvolOH during the summer of 2022. Earlier experience includes a Research Fellowship at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, where studies revolved around oxygen reduction catalyst stability, and a position as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Brushett Group at MIT, concentrating on porous carbon electrodes for energy storage. Emily holds a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, in addition to a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
