Jordan MacDonald

Jordan MacDonald has an extensive work experience spanning over 15 years. Jordan has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in engineering, programming, and web development.

Jordan started their career as a Multimedia Specialist at Laurentian University in 2006, where they maintained and developed content for the university's WebCT infrastructure. Additionally, they automated workflow processes and conducted technical training sessions.

In 2007, Jordan joined BorderWare Technologies as a Jr. Web Developer, where they developed web-based user interfaces and APIs for the BorderWare Security Platform. Jordan also managed software revisions and implemented solutions for software defects. Jordan quickly progressed to the role of Software Engineer, where they planned, designed, and implemented user interface components. Jordan also led the development of UI framework components and conducted training sessions for colleagues and management.

From 2009 to 2010, Jordan worked at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine as an HSVO Web Engineer. During this time, they rewrote the OpenLabyrinth game engine using the Django web framework and designed SOA interfaces for software interoperability.

In 2010, Jordan joined the City of Greater Sudbury as a Programmer Analyst. Jordan was responsible for various projects, including a city-wide facility reservation system upgrade and the assessment and deployment of third-party software solutions. Jordan also provided development direction to the department and managed production application environments.

Currently, Jordan works at Litmus as the Director of Engineering, a position they have held since April 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Engineering Manager, Engineering Team Lead, and Senior Engineer, showcasing their growth and leadership skills within the company.
