Cate Lineberry

Cate Lineberry possesses extensive editorial experience in various high-profile organizations, including National Geographic, AARP, and the Smithsonian Institution. As a Senior Editor at National Geographic, Cate specialized in children's nonfiction, overseeing and editing multiple titles annually while managing a team of editors. Prior roles include serving as Editorial Director at Stand Together, where Cate directed editorial strategies for a network of brands, and as Consulting Senior Editor at Life Reimagined, producing multimedia content for AARP. Cate's foundational career at National Geographic included roles such as Staff Writer and Regional Editor, where significant contributions were made to cover impactful global stories. Cate holds a BA in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and two Master's degrees in Writing and Creative Writing from The Johns Hopkins University.
