Emergency Medical Technician at MEMS

Rebekah Magnus has a diverse work experience in the field of emergency management and medical services. Rebekah currently works as a Mitigation Grant Coordinator at the Arkansas Division of Emergency Management since February 2022. Prior to this, they served as an Emergency Medical Technician at MEMS - Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services starting from January 2023.

Rebekah also has experience working with the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management as an Exercise Officer from September 2019 to February 2022. Rebekah briefly worked as an Emergency Management Specialist at FEMA in August to September 2019.

Rebekah has significant experience as an Emergency Medical Technician, working at Pope County EMS from November 2015 to July 2019. In addition, they served as an EMS Rescue Team Member at Pope County EMS Rescue from June 2016 to January 2019.

Rebekah's work experience also includes a role as a Youth Counselor at Counseling Associates from October 2015 to October 2017. Rebekah has previous lifeguarding experience as a Head Lifeguard at Woodlands Edge Pool from April 2012 to August 2015, as well as at Little Rock Athletic Club from May 2011 to August 2015.

Furthermore, Rebekah completed a summer internship with Arkansas Tech University in 2014, where they assisted with updating the school-wide Continuity Plan and coordinating state-wide school mapping for the Arkansas State Police utilizing local STEM programs.

Rebekah Magnus earned a Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management from Arkansas Tech University, where they studied from 2013 to 2016. During the same time, they also obtained a Certificate in Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT Basic) from the same institution. In 2015, they received their Emergency Medical Technician, Basic certification from the NREMT, Arkansas Department of Health, and Arkansas Tech University. Additionally, Rebekah Magnus achieved additional certifications including Stop The Bleed Instructor from MEMS in July 2019 and CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Heart Association in March 2018.
