Dr. Veronica Perkins

Chief Academic Officer at Little Rock School District

Dr. Veronica Perkins has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Dr. Veronica currently serves as the Superintendent of Schools for the Blytheville School District 5. Prior to this role, they were the Deputy Superintendent for the Forrest City School District from 2019 to 2022. Before that, they worked as the Chief Academic Officer for the Little Rock School District starting in 2014. Dr. Perkins also served as a Principal for both the Pulaski County Special School District from 2008 to present, and the Wilbur D. Mills University Studies High School from 2010 to 2014. Dr. Veronica began their career in education as a teacher at Jack Robey Jr. High in the Pine Bluff Schools from 1994 to 2000.

Dr. Veronica Perkins earned their Bachelor's degree in English Education from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 1994. Dr. Veronica further pursued their education in the field of English/Language Arts Teacher Education at the same university from 1995 to 1998.
