Rebecca Burkman has extensive experience in environmental affairs and laboratory management, currently serving as the Director of Environmental Affairs at Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority since June 2017. Previous roles at the same organization include Interim Director of Operations, Interim Director of Environmental Affairs, Laboratory Administrator, and Laboratory Technician. Prior to this, Rebecca worked as a Senior Laboratory Analyst for The City of Rocky Mount from October 2014 to June 2017 and as a Laboratory Assistant at the Ecotoxicology Research Facility from August 2010 to May 2013. Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority

Little Rock Water Reclamation Authority exists to preserve and replenish the environment by reclaiming our most valuable resource, water. The collection and treatment services protect both public health and the environment. LRWRA is responsible for inspecting and maintaining approximately 1,400 miles of sewer; 32,000 manholes; and serves a population of approximately 200,000. LRWRA is overseen jointly by the Chief Executive Officer and the Little Rock Water Reclamation Commission, which is comprised of seven members. These citizens are appointed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors.
