David Benne is a seasoned professional in competition management and event delivery within the golf industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Competition Management and formerly as Vice President of Event Delivery at LIV Golf Investments since November 2021. Prior to this, David held various roles at Augusta National Golf Club from February 2008 to November 2021, including Manager of Tournament Operations for the Masters Tournament and Tournament Director for prestigious events such as the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship and Latin America Amateur Championship. David's earlier experience includes a sequence of key operations roles at Pinehurst Resort, where significant contributions were made to the United States Open and Women's Open Championships. David holds a Master’s degree in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts from DePauw University.
