Dr. Lissa Taitano, PT, DPT, OCS has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Dr. Lissa started their career as a Spine Rehabilitation Specialist at SpineZone and later became a Multi-Site Clinic Manager, where they scaled the company and implemented interdisciplinary rounds to improve patient care. Dr. Lissa then transitioned to the role of Clinic Director/Regional Clinic Manager, Physical Therapist, where they scaled the company further and introduced a mindfulness and nutrition department. Dr. Taitano also worked as the Director of Clinical Operations at SpineZone, collaborating with top executives to develop treatment pathways and clinical decision support tools. Currently, they are working at Livara as the Director of Clinical Operations, responsible for the development and management of Livara's virtual clinical programs.
Dr. Lissa Taitano, PT, DPT, OCS received their Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology: Athletic Training from San Diego State University in 2012. In 2017, they completed their Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Dr. Taitano also holds additional certifications, including being a Board Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist obtained from the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) in 2023, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy obtained from the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy in 2018. Dr. Lissa is currently pursuing a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Six Sigma Online; Aveta Business Institute. Dr. Taitano also obtained "The Game Changer" certification from Exos in 2023.
