Kamshad Raiszadeh has extensive work experience in the field of spine care and treatment. Kamshad is currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer at Livara since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Founder and Medical Director at the Spine Institute of San Diego from November 2008 to August 2019. In 2005, Kamshad Raiszadeh founded SpineZone, where they held the position of Chief Executive Officer and Founder until December 2020. Before that, in 2002, they founded the SHaRE Foundation, a private charity focused on filling gaps in spine care and supporting research activities. In addition, Kamshad Raiszadeh has been working as an author, providing information on spinal conditions and how to avoid invasive procedures through their blog called Take Back Control since January 2015.

Kamshad Raiszadeh earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Berkeley in 1986. Following this, they attended the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine from 1986 to 1990 and obtained an M.D. degree in Medicine. Kamshad then pursued an Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program at the University of California, Davis Medical Center from 1990 to 1995. Later in 1995, Raiszadeh completed a Spinal Surgery Fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases.
