Brian Gottstein has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and public relations. Brian began their career as the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at the United Way of Roanoke Valley, where they managed a successful public relations and marketing campaign. Brian later worked as a Financial Advisor and Marketing and Public Relations Consultant at Legg Mason Wood Walker and J.C. Bradford & Co, building brand recognition and managing clients' assets.

Brian founded their own consulting agency, Positive Impact Consulting, LLC, where they served as a Senior Public Relations and Marketing Consultant. Brian managed campaigns for various clients, including small businesses, physicians, and political candidates. Brian also wrote and produced advertisements and developed marketing materials.

Moving on, Brian worked as the Director of Communications and Spokesman for the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia. In this role, they managed media relations and handled crisis communications for the state law office. Brian promoted high-profile legal cases and played a crucial role in the largest state Medicaid fraud investigation.

Brian later became the Communications Director for Virginia's 7th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Brian managed media, social media, and constituent communications, and established relationships with national reporters and editors.

Currently, Brian serves as the Chief Communications Officer and Head of Government Relations at Live Action, where they oversee all media relations, from national to local and Capitol Hill. Brian secures stories, interviews, and op-eds in major outlets and prepares various communications materials such as op-eds, news releases, and statements.

Brian Gottstein received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations with a minor in Engineering from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Fellow from the University of Virginia's Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership in 2005, and completed the Speakeasy executive speech training program in 1996.
