Linda Bridges

Genealogy/reference Librarian at LIVE OAK PUBLIC LIBRARIES

Linda Bridges is an experienced librarian specializing in genealogy, reference services, and children's programming. Since January 2001, Linda has served as the Genealogy/Reference Librarian at Live Oak Public Libraries, where responsibilities include assisting patrons with family history research. Previously, Linda held various positions at Catawba County Library from 1996 to 2000, including Senior Children's Librarian and Public Services Librarian. Early in their career, Linda worked at York County Library as a Children's Assistant and Branch Assistant, and served as a preschool teacher at Ann Barron Child Development Center from 1984 to 1987. Linda holds a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Science in Child Development from Winthrop University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Winthrop University.
