Alexander McNamara is an accomplished editor and audience development specialist with extensive experience in digital content management and SEO. Currently serving as Editor In Chief at both Future and Live Science since September 2022, Alexander previously held the position of Audience Editor at New Scientist from October 2020 to September 2022, where responsibilities included audience engagement strategies and technical SEO audits. Prior to that, Alexander was Online Editor for BBC Science Focus Magazine, and held various editorial roles at Microsoft, including Lead Search Editor for Bing, where oversight of international editorial teams and content programming was a key focus. Alexander's career began in digital content roles, including positions at Hearst Digital and Review Centre, complemented by a background in finance as a Credit Analyst at Honeywell and teaching English at the Czech University of Agriculture. Alexander holds a BA (Hons) in Economics from The University of Sheffield.
